David has over 25 years strategic and financial experience across a wide range of institutions with a particular specialism in infrastructure including ports.
David is a qualified Management Accountant and is a Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and was latterly a senior member of an investment banking sector team covering Power, Utilities and Infrastructure. David worked on a number of market leading transactions raising multi-billions of capital for the sector giving him clear insights into how to structure projects to make them bankable. After leaving banking, David worked in a senior commercial role within Associated British Ports covering merger and acquisitions, strategy and management of the capital investment process.
David is active in the UK freeports sector developing the business cases for government approval. These propositions have a key focus in the renewable energy sector, particular both fixed bottom and floating offshore wind which are critical for the growth of the ports’ sector.
David is able to provide strategic, financial and commercial advise including investor considerations, bankability, commercial structures and governance.
