Guy has over 20 years’ experience working in the global ports, shipping, logistics and materials handling industries and specialises in the handling of dry bulk products. As a qualified Mechanical Engineer his early career was in Engineering Development and later Engineering Management for a major European bulk container logistics company and for an International port development and bulk materials handling service provider. He became an independent Bulk Materials Handling Consultant in 2015.
He has led a number of bulk terminal and equipment design and development projects around the world, handling numerous different projects, and has extensive different products and has extensive management experience at group and project level. Guy also has experience in setting up operations and maintenance systems for bulk handling terminals and installations worldwide.
Recent projects have included the development of a full port facility for handling Soda Ash, technical due diligence for port acquisitions, debottlenecking studies on existing bulk facilities, developing process improvements and equipment for industrial chemical distributors, developing new port layouts and handling requirements in the Philippines and Africa.
