Martin has over 30 years’ professional experience in planning, design and supervision of maritime projects globally, covering more than 30 countries.
Martin provides technical and commercial management of and innovative solutions for port & maritime developments, master planning, port optimisation, due diligence, feasibility, design, analysis, reviews of port facilities, expert opinions/reports.
He has been responsible for the management and execution of major development projects, from inception to implementation, chiefly using FIDIC-based contracts. Recent work has centred on strategic planning, feasibility studies, master planning and BOT concessions; audits of existing terminals and operations; and due diligence advice for investment proposals, including handling equipment requirements, capacity analysis and review of capex/opex.
Projects have included container terminals, LNG and petrochemical facilities, cruise facilities, ferry terminals, general cargo, fishing harbours and marinas. Work has included harbour/quay and jetty design, dredging, rock groynes, revetments, breakwaters, concrete armour units, beach replenishment, seawalls as well as port design reviews, master planning. Martin provides maritime industry presentations, technical papers and is a contributor to publications.
